Admiral House Dental Practice is a local Berkhamsted dental practice in Hertfordshire, offering a full range of high-quality private dental care for the whole family. Our dental practice has been in business for over forty years providing results-driven dental treatments with patient comfort and confidence as our priority.


As in all walks of life, dentistry is constantly changing. Our staff undertake various continual professional development programmes to ensure that patients benefit from the latest techniques so are able to offer the most current methods and technology in our dental treatments.


We appreciate visiting the dentist is seldom a favourite activity, but we want you to be at ease during your dental appointment so you are as comfortable as possible. Your initial visit will often begin with an informal chat to discuss any concerns you have about your teeth and overall oral health.

Once you are comfortable, we will then carry out a comprehensive 12-point check including inspection of your teeth, gums, and soft tissues.

The appointment includes any necessary digital X-rays to see what is happening below the surface of your teeth and do a quick routine oral cancer check. We often use a high-resolution oral camera to show you around your mouth and point out any areas of concern. We can then present this information to you, indicating any immediate needs and ongoing maintenance, with a tailored treatment plan over a timescale that suits you.

We take patient confidentiality extremely seriously. All personal information is treated in the strictest confidence. All of our patient records are securely stored at our practice to ensure that patient information is only accessed as part of your treatment. Fees and Payments

Our team will discuss any fees with you before proceeding with treatment. You can also refer to our fee schedule general costs. Payment is usually due at the end of each appointment. For dental treatments requiring multiple visits, a payment plan can be arranged with your dentist where a portion of the total cost gets paid at each appointment instead of a lump sum at the end of the treatment. We accept cash, most debit and credit cards, and cheques. We can also offer payment schemes.


Missed appointments waste time and resources. Cancelling your appointment with less than 48 hours notice will incur a charge. We will, of course, consider special circumstances before charging your account.

Patient and Staff Safety

Patients who are violent or abusive to practice personnel, other patients, or anyone else on the practice premises will be refused treatment and reported to the appropriate authorities.


Good communication with our patients is very important to us. In proposing treatment, we take account of your preferences and concerns. We explain all treatment options, where appropriate, and costs, so that you can make an informed choice. We also discuss any risks associated with the proposed treatment, so you are equipped with all the information you need to make the best decision.

We always explain what we are doing and why we are doing it. As a patient of the practice, you will receive recalls at agreed intervals as part of ongoing care. Please inform us of any changes in name or contact details so we keep accurate information on file.
